At Web Coden, we are committed to providing professional website design, WordPress development, WooCommerce solutions, and related digital services.
We understand that project requirements and business circumstances may change. This Refund & Cancellation Policy explains how cancellations, refund requests, advance payments, and project-related charges are handled.
This policy applies to services purchased from Web Coden through https://webcoden.com or through quotations and agreements issued by our business.
By engaging our services, clients agree to the applicable cancellation and refund conditions, subject to their individual project agreement and applicable laws.
1. Our Refund Policy
Web Coden provides customized digital services that require time, planning, technical expertise, and development resources.
Because each project is tailored to the client’s requirements, refund eligibility depends on the work completed, expenses incurred, the reason for cancellation, and the terms agreed before the project begins.
Refunds are not automatically guaranteed for every cancellation request.
However, we aim to handle all eligible refund requests fairly, transparently, and in accordance with applicable Indian laws.
2. Cancellation Before Project Commencement
Clients may request cancellation before development work begins.
If a project is cancelled before any work has started, the client will generally be eligible for a refund of payments received, minus any reasonable, documented, non-recoverable expenses already incurred specifically for that project, where such deductions are legally permissible.
Examples of potential expenses include:
- Domain registrations purchased at the client’s request
- Paid software licenses purchased specifically for the project
- Third-party services activated with client approval
- Other documented, non-recoverable project expenses
Any applicable deductions will be explained to the client.
3. Cancellation After Work Has Started
If a client requests cancellation after project work has commenced, refund eligibility will be determined according to the actual progress of the project.
Web Coden may deduct reasonable charges for:
- Initial consultation and project planning included in the agreed paid scope
- Research and website structure preparation
- Wireframing and design work
- WordPress installation and configuration
- Theme customization
- Website development
- Content integration
- Plugin setup and integrations
- Completed project milestones
- Approved third-party expenses
Any remaining refundable amount will be calculated based on the agreed scope, documented work, payments received, and applicable legal requirements.
We will provide a reasonable explanation of the calculation when responding to a refund request.
4. Refunds for Completed Projects
Once the agreed website development services have been fully delivered and accepted, refunds will not ordinarily be available solely because the client changes their mind or no longer requires the website.
However, this does not affect any legal rights relating to deficient services, material non-performance, misrepresentation, or other circumstances in which a remedy is required by applicable law.
If the delivered website does not meet the agreed project requirements, clients should contact us so that the issue can be reviewed.
Where appropriate, Web Coden may offer corrections, completion of outstanding work, or another legally appropriate remedy.
5. Advance Payments and Deposits
Web Coden may request an advance payment or deposit before beginning a project.
The advance amount and payment schedule will be communicated in the project quotation, invoice, or written agreement.
Advance payments may be applied toward project planning, design, development, and other agreed work.
An advance payment is not automatically non-refundable in every circumstance.
If a project is cancelled, any refund of the advance will be calculated according to the work completed, approved expenses incurred, the agreement between the parties, and applicable legal requirements.
6. Refunds for Website Development Packages
Our website development services currently include the following advertised starting packages:
Starter Plan — Starting at ₹6,999
This package is intended for basic WordPress websites, portfolios, blogs, and informational websites.
If cancelled, refund eligibility will depend on the work completed and any applicable non-recoverable project expenses.
Standard Plan — Starting at ₹11,999
This package is intended for professional business websites with additional pages, customization, and integrations.
Refund requests will be assessed according to completed design and development work, agreed milestones, and applicable project expenses.
Premium Plan — Starting at ₹24,999
This package is intended for WooCommerce stores and more advanced website requirements.
Refund calculations may account for store configuration, theme customization, product uploads, payment and shipping integrations, development progress, and approved third-party expenses.
These package prices are starting rates. The final project quotation and agreed deliverables determine the actual project value.
7. Project Scope Changes
Changes to the original project requirements may affect pricing, timelines, and deliverables.
If a client requests additional pages, features, integrations, or substantial design changes, Web Coden will communicate any additional charges before proceeding with the extra work.
Payments for separately approved additional work will be treated according to the scope and progress of that work.
A decision to cancel an additional feature does not automatically cancel the original project agreement.
8. Revisions and Design Changes
Our standard proposed packages include a limited number of design revision rounds:
- Starter Plan: 1 revision round
- Standard Plan: 2 revision rounds
- Premium Plan: 2 revision rounds
Revision requests must relate to the originally agreed project scope.
Reasonable corrections required to meet the agreed specifications will be handled according to the project agreement and applicable legal obligations.
Requests for entirely new designs, additional functionality, or major changes after approval may require a revised quotation.
Dissatisfaction caused solely by a change in personal preferences after approved work has been completed does not automatically establish entitlement to a full refund.
9. Delays Caused by the Client
Project completion may depend on timely client cooperation.
Clients may be required to provide:
- Website content and images
- Business information
- Domain or hosting access
- Login credentials
- Product details
- Design feedback
- Approvals
- Other essential project materials
If required information is delayed, the estimated project delivery date may be adjusted.
If a client decides to cancel after a period of inactivity, any refund will be assessed according to the work already performed, agreed expenses, and applicable laws.
Client-caused delays do not automatically make all payments non-refundable.
10. Delays or Non-Performance by Web Coden
We make reasonable efforts to complete projects within the timelines communicated during the quotation and planning process.
If we are unable to deliver material parts of the agreed services, clients may contact us to request a resolution.
Depending on the circumstances, available remedies may include:
- A revised completion schedule agreed with the client
- Completion or correction of outstanding work
- A partial refund
- A full refund where appropriate
- Another remedy required by applicable law
If Web Coden is responsible for material non-performance, we will assess the matter fairly and will not rely on this policy to exclude mandatory client rights.
11. Third-Party Purchases and Subscriptions
Some projects require third-party products or services, including:
- Domain names
- Website hosting
- Premium WordPress themes
- Paid plugins
- Software subscriptions
- Stock photography or other licensed assets
- External integrations
Where such purchases are separately approved and made for the client’s project, refunds may be limited by the third-party provider’s terms.
Web Coden will not treat recoverable third-party charges as non-refundable expenses.
Any applicable deduction will be based on the actual expense and relevant contractual terms.
12. Website Maintenance and Support Services
Website maintenance may be offered through separate monthly, periodic, or project-based agreements.
Maintenance services may include:
- WordPress updates
- Theme and plugin updates
- Website backups
- Technical troubleshooting
- Security checks
- Performance monitoring
- Minor content updates, where included
Cancellation terms for recurring maintenance arrangements will be specified in the applicable maintenance agreement.
Unless separately agreed, cancellation of an ongoing maintenance arrangement will normally stop future service periods rather than automatically reverse charges for services already provided.
Any prepaid, unused service periods will be reviewed according to the agreement and applicable law.
13. Website Delivery and Handover
After the agreed work is completed and applicable payments have been received, Web Coden will arrange the website handover in accordance with the project agreement.
Handover may include:
- Website administrator access
- Completed website files or deployment
- Relevant WordPress configuration
- Agreed project deliverables
- Basic website management information, where included
If a project is cancelled before completion, the provision of partially completed deliverables will depend on the agreed contract, ownership rights, payment for completed work, third-party licensing terms, and applicable law.

We aim to acknowledge refund requests within 3 business days and communicate an initial decision or request for further information within 7 business days, where reasonably practicable.

We will communicate significant delays in the review process.
16. Approved Refunds and Processing Time
When a refund is approved, Web Coden will confirm the approved amount and the proposed refund method.
Refunds will generally be processed to the original payment source where reasonably possible.
Where this is unavailable, another mutually agreed payment method may be used.
We aim to initiate approved refunds within 7–10 business days after the refund decision and receipt of any information reasonably required to process the payment.
Actual bank or payment provider processing times may vary.
Any shorter refund deadline required by applicable law will take precedence.
17. Chargebacks and Payment Disputes
If a client believes a payment was made incorrectly or a service has not been provided as agreed, we encourage them to contact Web Coden first so that the matter can be reviewed.
Clients retain any rights to raise payment disputes, chargebacks, or complaints through banks, payment providers, or competent legal authorities.
Nothing in this policy restricts remedies available under applicable law.
18. Exceptions and Legal Rights
This Refund & Cancellation Policy is intended to operate consistently with applicable Indian law, including relevant consumer protection requirements.
Nothing in this policy excludes or limits mandatory rights or remedies available to clients under applicable law.
Where a provision conflicts with mandatory legal requirements, those requirements will prevail.
19. Changes to This Policy
Web Coden may update this Refund & Cancellation Policy when necessary to reflect changes in services, business operations, or legal requirements.
Updated policies will be published at:
The revised policy will include an updated effective date.
Changes will not automatically override the refund terms of an existing project agreement where doing so would be unlawful or inconsistent with the agreed contract.
